New Year's Eve at Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok


Terry Hodgkinson aka "wandering ninja" enjoys a fantastic New Year's Eve 2002 celebration with Mei at the Shangri-La Hotel beside the Chao Phraya River. The video starts out with a small clip of the pool at Jim Thompson's House & Museum. (he wasn't allowed to film anything while in the house/museum. Then picks up at the Shangri-La Hotel where the festive celebration begins. In the video Terry captures some great clips of the hotels artifacts, the musical entertainers for the evening and then the spectacular fireworks at midnight! "What a great day and evening all around. Jim Thompson's place was amazing to see and the celebration at the Shangri-La hotel was awesome. I don't think I've ever seen a fireworks display like that. It's probably why I have so much film footage of it, I kind of got lost watching the dazzling display of so many different displays lighting up the midnight Bangkok Sky, while my camera kept on rolling.
